Early Xmas Shopping

I had to go to 5 different Dollar Trees to buy all this crap. I won't be fighting holiday shopping crowds, so perhaps we should consider this my "early Black Friday shopping spree" haha.

Mostly I was excited for the Flower makeup stuff (Drew Barrymore's makeup line at Walmart). I don't know why lol I mean these are not colors that look good on me... But they look so pretty on the shelf!

(haul) Finally Jackpot! Hard Candy, Maybelline, WnW at Dollar Tree

I had almost given up on Dollar Tree *but* they've finally made me smile again 😁 lots of Hard Candy cosmetics, Maybelline gems, and Wet n Wild Catsuit stuff. Feels like Xmas again LOL I've been to 4 different Dollar Trees this week, they all had different stuff- none of them had the same exact stuff, isn't that weird? 🤷

Maybelline: lip liner, liploss, lipstick, mascaras

(review) Mally 24/7 Eye lining System "Plum"

This 4 piece kit includes an eyeliner pencil, dual-ended brush, bullet-proof white powder, and an eyeshadow. This "plum" color is more of an eggplant/ cool tone brown. Very natural makeup. Not outrageous.

 

This is a makeup product where you really need to 

READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!! 

Step 1: apply eyeliner pencil

Step 2: apply white powder over eyeliner

Step 3: apply eyeshadow on top of white powder (the white powder glues the eyeshadow to the eyeliner to make it *pop* and last a night long!)

I tried using the white and plum powders over a random black eyeliner to see if it could look less natural (lol I'm a punk girl!) and it still looked crazy "normal" 🤷 I think plum just looks bad with my eye color- it would look good on honey or hazel eyes. 

If I was an army girl wearing olive camo all the time tho, I would totally rock plum.

And the bad part is that they won't stick to your eye, you MUST WEAR AN EYESHADOW BASE! so  that the powder has something to stick to. Best method I found is to apply with a damp brush.

Ok, so let's review:

105 COPPER is super metallic, super sparkly!

106 FUCHSIA is a bright medium  pink

104 HOLOGRAPHIC is duochrome white/purple

 

I took these swatches indoors,without using primer:

I like that these jars came individually sealed, mess-free.

I got them at Dollar Tree.

I took these makeup photos outside. The eyeshadows were applied with a damp brush on top of primer. Fuchsia in crease, copper on outer lid, holographic on inner lid and on top of my black eyeliner (really purple!)

Fuchsia seems kinda matte or pearly sheen. It's not as exciting. I think maybe if I added some of this powder to clear lipgloss it might work really cute tho...

The white one isn't actually "holographic" that was a bad name for it- but it does have a duochrome feel 🙂 In sunlight it looks super lilac.

In the photos below I wore "holographic" on top of primer and applied with a dry brush which made it way less pigmented and more white (lilac sheen only in sunlight):
